First and foremost, I would like to thank some of our readers and supporters for emailing me regarding the incident at HMP Bronzefield concerning a prison officer and a family member of a prisoner there.
I will not go in to detail, but I can tell you that I received a personal response from, Mr Michael Spurr, the Chief Executive of the National Offenders Management Service of which I am extremely grateful for.
What I can and will say is, Mr Spurr, has taken the complaint seriously so I thank him very much for that.
I take issue with any family members of prisoners being treated disrespectfully by any prison officer. Thanks again for all your emails, but the matter is being looked in to.
