The family of a soldier facing up to 10 years in jail for stealing a rifle have accused the Army of betraying their son who they say is suffering from combat trauma after serving in Afghanistan. The family of Corporal Harry Killick say he took the weapon to kill himself, and blame the military for ignoring clear warnings that he was suffering from severe post-traumatic stress disorder following more than a decade of service abroad.
COMMENT: Prison is NOT the answer. The Prison Service is NOT set up to support ex servicemen who are suffering from post-traumatic street disorder. If the money thirsty Government send our troops out to Afghanistan then they should have a service put in to place to support those who are suffering from post traumatic stress. Instead they feel the only other alternative is to lock someone up - typical British Justice System. Who can we email about this man?
