Polite At HMP Birmingham - From Sherry (email)

Hi everyone. My Dad is 72 and he travels every fortnight from Stockport to Birmingham on the train to see his son. He travels on his own when I can't get time off work to go with him. What I will say though is, he is treated very well at HMP Birmingham (Winson Green) and has never had a problem with the prison officers there. They always talk him through the searches and are very polite. What I will say though is, there should be more support for elderly prison visitors or maybe a support group or something. I think this age generation are often forgotten about. Love to all, Sherry.
