Lincoln Prison addresses 'lack of medical staff'

Lincoln Prison does not have enough medical staff to keep inmates safe and meet their health and welfare needs, an inspection has found. The prison failed to meet two of the eight standards inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). But Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, which provides the prison's healthcare services, said concerns had since been addressed. This includes hiring new nurses since the inspection in November. A trust spokesperson said the CQC did highlight "many areas of good practice the healthcare team achieve".
